Named for its architecture built from sillar, a white volcanic stone sourced from the nearby volcanoes, Arequipa was conquered by the Incas, who developed a rich agriculture in the heart of the desert.

Beyond its pleasant climate, you'll be enchanted by its colonial buildings, especially the famous Santa Catalina Convent — a true city within the city. You’ll also meet the mummy Juanita, a witness to the Inca cult of the Apus, the sacred mountain spirits.

We leave early in the morning for Chivay, enjoying beautiful views of the volcanoes along the mountain range. On the way, we’ll cross the Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve, where we may spot herds of wild vicuñas. Upon arrival in the village, located among lush agricultural terraces over 1,500 years old, we will have lunch before settling into the hotel.

In the afternoon, if you wish, we’ll take a short walk in the countryside.

We’ll leave the hotel and hike to the ruins of Uyo Uyo, an ancient Inca village located at 3,000 meters above sea level. We’ll then head back to the hotel, with the option to return via the nearby thermal baths.

Shortly after leaving Arequipa, we’ll stop at the Añashuayco quarries, where you’ll have the chance to see stonecutters working the white volcanic stone widely used in the region.

We’ll wake up early and head to the Cruz del Condor, an excellent viewpoint over the canyon, where we may have the chance to witness the majestic flight of Peru’s sky lords. We’ll then follow the canyon route to reach the villages of Pinchollo and Maca. Our journey continues to the village of Canocota, where our host family will be waiting with lunch.

In the afternoon, we’ll take a walk through the countryside with our host, who will share their traditions and culture with us.

In the evening, after sharing dinner, we’ll have time to learn more about the local culture through stories and legends told by our host.

After breakfast, we’ll already have to say goodbye to our friendly host. We’ll begin a short walk of approximately 2.5 hours along the canyon to reach the village of Chivay (please consult us if the walk is not desired).

Once we arrive, we’ll have lunch and then continue our journey by bus to our next destination.

We’ll take a coach from Chivay to Puno, with a few stops along the way to enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the high Andean plateau.

Today you’ll begin a full immersion experience with a local family.

Your host will pick you up in Puno, and together you’ll head to the city’s port. From there, you’ll take a boat to Llachon, located on the Capachica Peninsula.

On the way, you may choose to stop at the Uros Titinos islands to learn more about the daily lives of the people living in this unique environment.

You’ll have lunch with your host family, and in the afternoon, you’ll be invited to join them in their daily activities. Depending on the season or weather, this could include working in the fields, hiking around the peninsula, learning about local plants, or stone carving.

In the evening, you’ll share dinner with your hosts and spend the night in their home.

This morning, we begin our journey into Inca history by visiting the archaeological site of Raqchi. This fascinating place is home to the majestic Temple of Wiracocha, one of the largest Inca constructions, along with impressive ruins that reflect the rich heritage of this civilization.

We will then continue our adventure toward one of Peru’s most spectacular landscapes: the rainbow mountain range of Palcoyo, located at nearly 5,000 meters above sea level. Unlike the well-known Vinicunca, this area offers a more accessible alternative to admire Peru’s stunningly colorful mountains — a truly unique natural wonder.

Once there, we’ll enjoy a hike through Palcoyo, perfect for exploring these vibrant landscapes. At our first stop, we’ll learn more about the geological formation of these mountains and the origin of their natural colors.

After this immersion in the Andean scenery, we’ll return to the parking lot where our driver will be waiting to begin the trip back.

Immerse yourself in the heart of Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, and explore its cultural treasures through an immersive visit. We’ll begin with the Inca temples overlooking the city — powerful witnesses of the empire’s grandeur — before walking through the historic center, where Spanish colonial architecture blends with Inca foundations in majestic churches, sumptuous palaces, and fascinating museums. Depending on your interests and available time, we’ll personalize the itinerary to let you experience Cusco in a different way, guiding you through cobbled streets lined with Inca walls, true remnants of a legendary past.

You will take the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes, the last village before the famous Machu Picchu.

The journey takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Once in Aguas Calientes, head to the town’s main avenue to board a shuttle that will take you up to the entrance of Machu Picchu. The ride takes approximately 30 minutes.

Discovering Machu Picchu will be one of the most unforgettable moments of your trip to Peru. This iconic Inca citadel, nestled between the Andes and the Amazon rainforest, is one of the New 7 Wonders of the World and showcases Inca architecture in perfect harmony with nature.

Revealed to the world in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, it continues to captivate with its breathtaking views, sacred temples, and enduring mysteries. Walking its cobbled streets, agricultural terraces, and ceremonial plazas is a powerful journey through history and energy.

Visiting Machu Picchu is about connecting with the greatness of the past in a truly awe-inspiring setting.

After your visit to the Inca citadel, you’ll take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes.

The ride takes about 30 minutes.

Then you’ll take the train from Aguas Calientes back to Ollantaytambo.

The journey takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Our driver will take you from Ollantaytambo to Cusco.
