A two-day trek through the magnificent landscapes of the Sacred Valley. Starting from Patabamba, you walk among high-altitude villages, spectacular canyons and ancient Inca trails until reaching the ruins of Huchuy Qosqo, where you spend an authentic night with a local family. The next day, you cross the Tauca Pass at 4,435 m, offering stunning views over the Urubamba mountain range, before descending toward Chinchero. A short, varied and immersive itinerary, perfect for discovering the essence of the Andes.

Day 1 :

Cusco - Patabamba - HuchuyQosqo

This morning, our driver will take you to the Andean community of Patabamba, the starting point of our trek to Huchuy Qosqo.

From this charming perched village, we begin our hike through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, heading towards the famous balcony of the valley. From there, a spectacular view opens over the villages of Pisac, Calca and Lamay, as well as over the majestic Andean peaks of Pitusiray, Sawasiray and the impressive Veronica.

We then continue our ascent to the Pukamarka pass, the second challenge of the day. Once this section is crossed, we begin the descent to the entrance of the Leon Punku canyon, a perfect place to take a well-deserved break and enjoy our lunch in the heart of nature.

In the afternoon, we cross this spectacular canyon by following an ancient segment of the Inca Trail, surrounded by stunning rock formations. This ancestral path leads us directly to the mysterious ruins of Huchuy Qosqo, also known as “Little Cusco” in Quechua.

We dedicate the end of the day to exploring this archaeological site full of history before joining the home of Natividad and her family, where we will spend a night with local hosts — a beautiful opportunity to live an authentic and warm experience in the heart of the Peruvian Andes.

Day 2 :

Huchuy Qosqo - Chinchero

Último día de esfuerzo hoy, con una mañana dedicada al cruce del paso de Tauca, que alcanza los 4,435 m de altitud. Nos tomará aproximadamente 4 horas desde Huchuy Qosqo para llegar al punto más alto de nuestra aventura de 3 días. Una vez en la cima, podrán disfrutar de vistas únicas de toda la cordillera de Urubamba. ¡El espectáculo vale completamente el esfuerzo!

Disfrutaremos de una larga pausa en la cumbre antes de iniciar un descenso de 3 horas hacia la laguna de Piuray y luego al pueblo de Chinchero.

Una vez en Chinchero, regresamos a Cusco, los dejaremos en su hotel en el Valle o los llevaremos a su próximo destino.
