You begin a moderate 5-hour walk through the countryside to reach the foot of the majestic peaks of the mountain range.
You set up your camp as close as possible to the glacier. At the end of the day, those who wish can relax by enjoying a dip in the natural hot springs located just steps from the camp.

After a breakfast facing the mountains, you head towards the extreme west of the Ausangate massif. You begin the ascent of your first pass: the Arapa pass (4,710 m).
After crossing this peak, you slowly descend towards the sumptuous Pucacocha lakes, where the ice reflects in the turquoise water. You set up camp there to enjoy an excellent hot meal prepared by your cook.
