If you’re a vegetarian, vegan, or simply a gourmet, and you’d like to know the best vegan-friendly places to eat in Cusco, you’ve come to the right place!

If there’s one thing you won’t want to miss in Cusco, it’s the restaurants. From small local canteens to trendy spots, the city is packed with addresses to suit all tastes and convictions! In this article, we take you on a tour of our favorite vegetarian and vegan restaurants. Colorful plates, flavors from the Andes (and beyond), all meat-free and all with great pleasure!

El Jardín :

Our first gastronomic stop leads us to El Jardín, a veritable vegetarian institution nestled in the heart of Cusco’s Plaza de Armas, the city’s main square. Open since December 2022, this family-run restaurant offers inventive vegetarian and vegan cuisine, using fresh and often organic ingredients.

The setting is warm and refined, with a meticulous decor that blends natural elements with artistic touches. This allows you to dine in a soothing atmosphere right in the center of town. Dishes such as Neapolitan papardelle with mushrooms or vegetarian lasagne with zucchini and tomato confit are as delicious as they are beautifully presented.

Green Point :

Halfway between a chill resto and an alternative spot, Parada Vegan seduces with its relaxed atmosphere and pretty, sunny patio. Take a seat in the courtyard to savor 100% plant-based cuisine, with its bold mix of Peruvian classics, vegan sushi and hearty bowls.

But the experience isn’t limited to the plate: a thrift shop and an ethical boutique share the space. Parada Vegan is the place to be for good, healthy, responsible eating in a cool, creative setting.
