Embark on an unforgettable adventure in the heart of the Peruvian Andes, between snow-capped peaks and vividly colored lagoons. This trek takes you around the Ausangate massif, offering encounters with local communities, llamas, and alpacas.

Each day reveals breathtaking landscapes: high-altitude passes over 5,000 m, glacial lakes, remote valleys, and legendary trails, before a relaxing finish in Pacchanta with its hot springs. Day 1 :

Upis

Early in the morning, we depart from Cusco to Tinqui, passing through small villages in the highlands of Urcos. This village sits at 3,850 m and will be the starting point of our expedition.

The trail crosses rural landscapes, and the walk is moderate. We will arrive in about 5 hours at the foot of a stunning mountain group. Our camp will be located very close to the glacier. Those who wish can take a dip in the natural hot springs near the campsite.

Day 2 :

Upis

After breakfast in a stunning setting, we will head toward the far west of Ausangate, where we will climb our first pass: Paso Arapa (4,710 m). Then, we will descend to the Pucacocha lagoons, where we will set up camp. Our cook will have prepared an excellent meal for us.

Day 3 :

Hatun Pucacocha

After breakfast, we embark on a long and challenging day of hiking. We will cross two passes: Paso del Ausangate (5,000 m), where we can admire the beautiful Ausangatecocha Lagoon, and Paso Palomani (5,000 m), offering stunning views of Ausangate and Mariposa. From this pass, we will descend into the Hunchuy Finaya Valley, where we will set up camp.

Day 4 :

Jampa

We will begin a long day, ascending the valley flanked by several 6,000 m peaks (Pico Très, Puca Punta, etc.). After climbing Paso Jampa (5,200 m), we will descend through a beautiful valley, home to a few scattered alpaca herders along the Ninaparayoc lagoons, before reaching Pacchanta and enjoying its welcome hot springs!

Finally, we will meet our driver, who will take us back to Cusco.
