Your day begins with a transfer from Cusco to one of the least visited areas of the region. You start the excursion with a hike to the Andenes of Yucay, magnificent Inca terraces still cultivated by local farmers. This gentle walk amidst the green fields allows you to soak in the traditional Andean rural life, in total harmony with the earth.
You then continue with a guided tour of the Inkariy museum, a remarkable cultural space dedicated to the pre-Hispanic cultures of Peru. Founded by the Mérida family, this museum offers a fascinating chronological journey through the Caral, Chavín, Paracas, Nazca, Mochica, Wari, and Inca civilizations, highlighted by exhibitions of art, textiles, and ceramics, as well as dioramas with hyper-realistic mannequins recreating ancient rituals.
Finally, you go to the Seminario ceramics workshop and gallery, created by artists Pablo Seminario and Marilú Behar. After admiring their works that combine millennial techniques and contemporary style, you participate in an introductory Andean ceramics class to shape your own piece under the guidance of local experts.
Your driver takes you back to your hotel in Cusco in the late afternoon.
