Day 1 :

Chinchero, Moray laboratory, Maras salt mines, and Ollantaytambo fortress

Your immersion in the Sacred Valley begins with Chinchero, a charming Andean village where you attend a fascinating demonstration in a family textile workshop. There, you discover the ancestral weaving and natural dyeing techniques passed down since Inca times.
The visit continues to Moray, a mysterious archaeological site in the shape of a circular amphitheater, a true open-air agricultural laboratory. The adventure continues at the spectacular Maras salt mines, with its thousands of pools suspended on the mountainside. From this unique site, you start a superb downhill hike to the banks of the Urubamba River to enjoy the calm of the valley.
Your driver then takes you to Ollantaytambo, one of the last still-inhabited Inca villages, to explore its impressive strategic fortress.
At the end of the day, you board the train (about a 1h45 journey) heading to Aguas Calientes, the village located at the gates of Machu Picchu.

Day 2 :

Guided tour of the Machu Picchu citadel and return to Cusco

The big day has arrived! Early in the morning, you take the shuttle from the main avenue (about a 30-minute ride) to climb to the gates of the legendary Machu Picchu.
Discovering this emblematic Inca city, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the New 7 Wonders of the World, will remain one of the most intense moments of your trip.
Accompanied by your guide, you walk through its cobbled streets, its grandiose temples, and its agricultural terraces while connecting to the unique energy of this architectural masterpiece. After this unforgettable exploration, you head back down by shuttle to the village of Aguas Calientes.
You then board the return train to Ollantaytambo (about 1h45), where your private driver waits to ensure your comfortable transfer to Cusco.
