Adventure Tour in the Peruvian Amazon: Wildlife Observation in Tambopata and Macaw Safari at the Chuncho Clay Lick

After breakfast, your guide accompanies you on a guided hike in the primary forest in search of mammals, monkeys, butterflies, and endemic birds.
Back at the lodge, you board the boat again for a 3-hour journey on the Tambopata River towards Chuncho, enjoying your lunch on board. Upon arrival, you take a walking excursion deep into the jungle before settling in for an unforgettable night in an equipped campsite surrounded by nature, fully immersed in the sounds of the forest.

Wake up at sunrise to witness the Andean-Amazonian dawn and head to the famous Chuncho clay lick. There, you admire the magnificent and noisy spectacle of hundreds of parrots and giant macaws that come to ingest the mineral clay from the cliff, which is essential for their metabolism.
After breakfast, you set off on a tracking trek in search of large Amazonian mammals such as the tapir, capybara, sloth, and, with luck, the jaguar.
Following lunch at the lodge, a nocturnal boat excursion allows you to observe caimans on the riverbanks and listen to the symphony of the jungle from the water. Night at the lodge.

You wake up to the rhythm of the rainforest, greeted by the powerful calls of howler monkeys claiming the canopy.
After a final breakfast facing the wild nature, you board your return boat transfer on the river to Puerto Maldonado, from where you will head to the airport or bus terminal for the rest of your trip in Peru.
