First stop of the day: Chinchero, a charming Andean village where we will attend a fascinating demonstration in a textile workshop. There, you will discover ancestral weaving and natural dyeing techniques passed down since Inca times.
We will continue our visit to Moray, a mysterious archaeological site in the shape of a circular amphitheater, once used as an Inca agricultural laboratory. Thanks to your guide’s explanations, you will understand how these terraces made it possible to experiment with different crops at various altitudes.
Our adventure continues to the Maras salt mines, a unique landscape of thousands of white pools suspended on the mountainside. From there, we will begin a beautiful downhill hike that will take us to the banks of the Urubamba River, an ideal moment to enjoy the calm and natural beauty of the valley.
After meeting up again with our driver, we will end the day in Ollantaytambo, one of the last Inca villages still inhabited. We will explore its impressive Inca ruins, a strategic site that served as both a fortress and a religious center.
Night at your hotel.
Today, you will take the road toward Huayopata, a charming village located on the Amazonian route in the direction of Machu Picchu.
Upon your arrival, Julia and her family will welcome you warmly. You will have a moment to settle into your room before enjoying a traditional lunch.
In the afternoon, you will go with Julia or her husband to discover the family’s coffee and citrus plantations. You will learn everything about the production of Peruvian coffee, from the plant to the cup, and you will be able to prepare your own coffee to enjoy on site.
Dinner will be shared with the family, and you will spend the night there, surrounded by nature and hospitality.
This morning, you will enjoy a typical breakfast before returning to the family’s fields. After yesterday’s coffee, today will be dedicated to discovering Peruvian cacao.
The base of our beloved chocolate, cacao is often little known in its natural form. This morning will therefore be rich in flavors, learning, and discoveries, from the fruit all the way to the cacao paste.
At midday, we will continue our journey toward the next stage.
Hidroelectrica – Aguas Calientes:
You will walk from Hidroelectrica to Aguas Calientes, the last village before the famous Machu Picchu.
The hike takes about 3.5 to 4 hours. Stay attentive along the way. At certain points of the walk, you will already be able to spot the ancient Inca citadel perched at the top of the mountain.

You will need to go to the main avenue of Aguas Calientes to take a shuttle that will take you to the entrance gate of Machu Picchu. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
Machu Picchu:
Discovering Machu Picchu will be one of the most unforgettable moments of your trip to Peru. This iconic Inca city, nestled between the Andes and the Amazon rainforest, is one of the 7 New Wonders of the World and embodies Inca architecture in perfect harmony with nature.
Revealed in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, it continues to fascinate with its landscapes, its temples, and its mysteries. Walking through its cobbled streets, its agricultural terraces, and its sacred squares is an experience rich in history and energy.
Visiting Machu Picchu means connecting with the greatness of the past in a breathtaking setting.
Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes:
