Your adventure begins very early, around 4:00 am, with a transfer from your hotel towards Tinki, then to the small Andean village of Pacchanta, nestled at the foot of Ausangate. Along the way, you enjoy an invigorating local breakfast in the community of Andamayo to stock up on energy before the effort.
You then begin your panoramic hike of about 6 hours on the high-altitude trails. As you walk, you discover one by one the seven magnificent glacial lagoons that make the site famous: Azulcocha, Oqécocha, Pucacocha 1 and 2, Alqacocha 1 and 2, and Q'omercocha. Each of them offers unique colors, varying from deep blue to emerald green. This wild route is the perfect opportunity to observe Andean wildlife in its natural habitat: llamas, alpacas, viscachas, and, with a little luck, the majestic flight of the condor.
Back in the village, a tasty traditional lunch is served to you. To beautifully conclude this intense day, you enjoy a relaxing and well-deserved bath in the Pacchanta hot springs, facing the snow-capped peaks, before starting your return journey. Your driver drops you off at your hotel in Cusco around 7:00 pm.
