Set out on a 2-day adventure in the footsteps of an ancient Inca emperor. A totally out-of-the-beatten tracks itinerary that combines breathtaking panoramas, regional heritage and unforgettable experiences with locals.
Today we will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Chinchero, a weaving village. You will have the opportunity to discover the ancestral techniques of weaving and dyeing wool, before continuing on the road. Our transport will take us along the Piuray lagoon to the community of Tauca, where we will start our hike. It will take us about 3 hours to reach the most difficult part of these 2 days: the Pucajasa pass located at 4300m.
Once over the pass, we will join a section of the old Inka trail along which we will descend for about 3.5 hours to Huchuy Qosqo.
We will head to Natividad’s house where we will enjoy a typical meal and sleep in her house.
After breakfast, we will discover the archaeological complex, before starting a long descent of approximately 3 hours to the village of Lamay.
Once we reach the shores of the Urubamba River, we will meet our driver who will drive us to Cusco or to your next stop in the valley.
